A calling higher than ones self...

In the midst of a room filled with men, down in Mexico to build houses for the homeless, I am taken back to the city of Long Beach where in front of me there is an old hotel. With a flash I am there and in a flash I am back in the room while the pastor reads Genesis 28:10-22. What am I to do with this vision? Upon coming home I am filled with so much thirst and passion for what the Lord has shown me. I wanted to tell everyone I ran into, but that was not what He wanted yet. I tell my wife and she is a bit bewildered by the amount of information coming her way. So as she leaves for the weekend I pray and fast on the land in Long Beach that was shown to me. As I sought the face of God, He says....

“Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, to bring the poor and homeless into your house, to clothe the naked when you see him, and not to ignore your own flesh and blood? Then your light will appear like the dawn, and your recovery will come quickly. Your righteousness will go before you, and the Lord’s glory will be your rear guard. At that time, when you call, the Lord will answer; when you cry out, he will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you get rid of the yoke among you, the finger-pointing and malicious speaking, and if you offer yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted one, then your light will shine in the darkness, and your night will be like noonday. The Lord will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose water never runs dry. Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will restore the foundations laid long ago; you will be called the repairer of broken walls, the restorer of streets where people live.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58:7-12.

And now for the past three years we have patiently waiting and praying for this company. Now the doors have opened and it is time to arise and shine. To bring restitution to the broken and hope to the hopeless.

We hope that your heart will burn with ours as we create a community of God's children to disciple and make world changers as we walk with them into their God given destinies!

The long term vision of this corporation is to house and employ every person on the streets, and to walk with them in their true identity.

We are committed to the vision of building people up, giving hope to the hopeless and restitution to the forgotten. It will be a place of belonging and community where people can once again become a participant in society and gain vision for their future. In so doing we hope to invade surrounding counties with a revolution of transformation to start the eradication of homelessness.

Our first year goal is to establish companies and partnerships that will be used to financially support Hotel Bethel, Inc. It would also provide real life interactions with society thus building personal power, self confidence and self sufficiency for those we take under our wing.

We value collaboration with others who have forged the way in eradicating homelessness. To this end we have been developing relationships with partners who work in this area of society and have various talents to offer in providing the best care. Our long term goal is to minimize the homeless population by providing housing, training and jobs to insure every individual has the opportunity to become healthy, whole, productive, successful members of society.
